My long time friend Dani got married on October 7, 2007. She and her new husband Matt got married at a Greek church in Orange, CT. The wedding reception was nearby in Milford, CT. I attended the wedding with my ex-boyfriend Ryan who was in town for his brother's wedding, which was the day before.
The ceremony was interesting and unlike anything that I have ever seen before. The Greek service was very traditional and based on ritual. It was strange at parts, and I actually had a hard time containing my laughter some of the time because it was unusual to me. However, Dani was a beautiful bride. Her gown and hairstyle were especially exsquisite. Her dance with her father was also very special because they are extremely close. I felt emotional watching them, and I am usually not the type who ever cries on such occasions.
