After finishing my fellowship position at Eagle Rock School, I decided to travel to Ireland for five weeks. For the first four weeks of my visit I volunteered on a farm called Mill Little, which is near the sea in southwestern Ireland, close to the town of Bantry. I mostly worked in the garden and did other tasks like yard work, cleaning and painting. I was able to see some nice beaches and small towns in the area since I was there for a while. We also visited Kilarney National Park which had beautiful scenery. During this time, I also went sea kayaking and sailing on several occasions. It was a good balance of working and enjoying myself.
The last week that I was in Ireland I traveled alone on the west coast. I stayed in different towns and villages along the way and did some sightseeing as I traveled by bus and stayed in hostels. Of course, I took tons of photos to document my travels and all the interesting things that I encountered along the way. It was an amazing journey, one that I won't soon forget.
